Screens 'n' Suds 2011
Monday, October 17, 2011 at 12:14PM UPDATE: The Smokey and the Bandit art print is now available for purchase at the Screens n Suds store. It looks like there are a few left... so head on over to Screens n Suds and order one.
This year I had the honor of designing an art print for the Screens 'n' Suds show (Screens for screenprinting and Suds for beer... yay beer!) benefiting the National MS Society. If you are in or around the Virginia area go check out the event. They have plenty to do for the beer and art lover...
This years theme given to the artists was "Beer Pop", anything having to do with beer in pop culture.
Below is my submission based on one of my earliest recollections of beer in pop culture, the movie, Smokey and the Bandit. It's a 4 color screenprint (metallic trans am trim gold, road rash gray, rebel red, and trucktread black). 19"x25" edition of 35 signed and numbered.

Closeups of the print:

Additonally the artists were asked to submit an additonal unique print for the gallery show. For this special 1of1 print there is a glossy varnish of Coors beer printed on the top of Snowman's truck. Below is a closeup shot of it, though it is a little hard to make out.
